Successful design requires user research. The following links demonstrate two examples of composite character studies carried out in varying situations. The first reinforces proposed routes and building placements in the project 'Nid Cadarn Ond Brodyrdde'. The second focuses upon the users of Pacer Trains within Cardiff, acknowledging user needs, patterns in travel and interaction, the importance of personal space and how well the carriage design responds to the users.
